English Today's High School Course is especially made for high school students who need extra time learning English intensively.
Our teachers teach students to use English for everyday situations related to daily life and leisure. The philosophy of this course is that learning a second language is meaningful and effective when the language is used for authentic communication.
Our course has the following key features: Integrated Syllabus Recognizes grammar as an essential component of second language proficiency. It presents grammar with accuracy based activities leading to fluency communicative practice. High and Contemporary Content Deals with topics that are high interest and relevance. Each unit includes real-world information on variety topics. Enjoyable and Useful Learning Activities Interesting activities such as pair work, group activities, role plays, exciting pictures and information sharing activities form the basis of each course.
Each course contains the following kinds of tasks:
> Speaking The conversations introduce new grammar of each unit in a communicative context and present functions expressions.
> Reading The reading passages develop reading skills, including guessing words, skimming, scanning and making inferences.
> Writing Writing tasks will recall skills learned previously and put them in writing performances.
> Listening The listening activities develop listening skills, including listening for gist, listening for details, and inferring meaning from context.
> Pronunciation These exercises focus on important features of spoken English, including stress, intonation, reductions, and sound contrasts.
> Snapshot The snapshots contain interesting information about the world related to the topic of the unit and extend students’ vocabulary.
> Break The breaks contain amusing things related to the topic of each unit. The breaks will live up the students during the learning process.
> What next? Contain introduction that will make teachers and students recognize and ready to the things they are going to learn.
